Welcome to the MOM Labs UC Davis Wiki[]

Welcome to the M.O.M. Lab Wiki! If you are new to Wikia, please visit the Beginners Corner to learn how to edit and add new pages, photos and links. Also, everyone in the MOM Lab should feel free to add any missing information to benefit the next user.

This wiki contains: Protocols , Equipment, Reagents, and Software. If you are new to the MOM Lab, please consider visiting our Getting Started page. This wiki can be edited by anyone at anytime to add, improve or correct things. In order to upload photos, you'll need to create an account and verify your email address, but for other changes you do not need an account.

To add a link to a page, just click edit, highlight the text you want to link, then click the chain-link and type in the exact name of the wikia page you are trying to link. Note that this page will have to have exact spelling and capitalization in order to link correctly, and not make an entirely new page. To add outside links, highlight the section of text and then click the chain-link icon and post in the URL. If you are unsure how to edit links, please visit the Beginners Corner and try to avoid editing preexisting links.

If there is more than one way to perform a protocol, it is better to add a new page (option 2 or alternative protocol) rather than editing a preexisting page. This wiki is searchable, through the "Search This Wiki" search bar above. When making a page, consider using key words that will make it more searchable, ideally in the title. Imagine that a new undergrad in the lab is reading your article or protocol. Will they need to come and ask you for more info or clarification? In a wiki you'd ideally like for the answer to this question to be "No"

If you want to add new Protocols, Equipment, Reagents, or Software, it is better to start by editing the index page for that topic in order to add the linked page. You'll have to start by typing the new page name on the index page (notice they are alphabetically ordered). Then you can highlight the page name and click the chain-link icon, the name of your new page will come up in Red. Once you save that new page, and then save the index page, you'll see your new page listed in red font. Once you click on the new page, you will be prompted to add text to the page you have created. Have any questions? Try visiting the Beginners Corner.

Also, feel free to visit the Ori-McKenney Lab page here.
